There are only 250 entries for the Hout Bay Trail Challenge 2017 and participants will need to register online when entries open at 10:00am. You will be able to pay with a credit card, debit card or make an EFT payment. Entries will close on Monday 20th July 2017 or once we have reached our limit.

Entry Options

  • Individuals
  • Team (3 Runners, each doing one leg)
  • There will be 10 Bright Start Charity places available on a first come first basis.
  • The last 20 places will be reserved for previous race winners, sponsors, media, development runners, invited runners and the previous year's marshals. Any places not used will be offered to those on the waiting list.
  • Hout Bay Ultra Challenge will not be held this year.
  • If you are unsuccessful at obtaining an entry initially to the 2017 race, you can place your name on the waiting list online or try win one of two Dunlop Entries (details below).

Entries will close on 20th July 2017 at 5pm or once we have reached our entry limit of 250. We are anticipating that the entries will once again go quickly.

Entry Fees:

  • Individual (40km): R1250.00
  • Team Entry (40km): R2100.00 (3 runners per team - each will run 1 of the 3 legs in a relay format)
  • Bright Start Charity Entry is R2000.00 (individual entry)
  • Bright Start Charity Entry Team is R3600.00 (3 runners per team - each will run 1 of the 3 legs in a relay format)

We encourage companies to take up the Charity entries.

Should the event be cancelled due to weather, fire or any other factor that affects the safety of participants there will be no refunding of entry fees.
