If you are unable to race this year after you have received your race confirmation email for 2017, you may either withdraw or defer your entry to 2018 by sending an email to hello@houtbaychallenge.co.za.

Withdrawals

  • If you chose to withdraw, the next person on the waiting list will be offered your place, if withdrawal takes place before 19th July 2017.
  • Withdrawals after the 19th July 2017, will not be offer to the anyone on the waiting list and there will be no refund of your entry
  • You will receive a refund after the event, only once the person on the waiting list payment has been confirmed. You will be refunded your entry fee less the processing fee. This does not include any additional purchases (t-shirt, etc.).
  • Your entry will only be cancelled once the person from the waiting list entry has been confirmed. You will receive a cancellation email to confirm this.
  • T-shirt purchased will need to be collected at Race briefing or other arrangements made for it to be collected before the 31st August 2017.

Deferment

  • You may defer your entry for one year.
  • If you chose to defer your entry, you need to do it before 19th July 2017 by filling in the form the organisers will send you.
  • On completing the form you will be removed from the 2017 race and put you on our deferral list for the 2018 race. When the 2018 race opens for registration, you will receive an email with a unique registration link so you can sign up for 2018 race and pay the entry fee difference. You will not be automatically registered for the event. You will have a month to register from when entries open to complete the entry form.
  • Your race number will be destroyed
  • There will be no refund on additional purchases (t-shirts, etc.).
  • T-shirt purchased will need to be collected at Race briefing or other arrangements made for it to be collected before the 31st August 2017.
