How to Enter

There are only 250 entries for the Hout Bay Trail Challenge and participants will need to register online when entries open. You will be able to pay with a credit card, debit card or make an EFT payment. Entries will close on Monday 23rd August 2021 or once we have reached our limit.

COVID-19 UPDATE

With the recent change to Lockdown Level 4, we have made the decision to postpone the event to the 4th September 2021.


You will be required to complete two Covid Forms the week before the event: (Covid Declaration and Daily Screening Form)



Entry Fees

  • Individual (40km): R1130.00
  • Team Entry (40km): R1800.00 ( R600.00 - 3 runners per team - each will run 1 of the 3 legs in a relay format)
  • Karlbonkelberg Challenge (17km): R600.00

Should the event been cancelled for inclement weather, economic or any other external forces that are out of the Event Managements control, the organiser may decide to:

  • Change the course to a safer alternative course
  • Postpone the event if possible
  • Cancel the event completely.
  • This decision will only be made in the interest of participants safety.

    In the event been completely cancelled, no refunds will be possible. Please see withdrawal and cancellation policy below for more detail.

    Substitutions

    Withdrawals

    • If you are unable to race this year after you have received your race confirmation email for 2021, you may withdraw by sending an email to hello@houtbaychallenge.co.za.
    • If you chose to withdraw, please notify the organiser by email - hello@houtbaychallenge.co.za.
    • 75% of your Entry and Merchandise ordered will be refunded, when your entry is cancelled on or before 1st July 2021 in writing
    • 50% of your Entry and Merchandise ordered will be refunded, when your entry is cancelled on or before the 23rd July 2021 in writing
    • 25% of your Entry and Merchandise ordered will be refunded, when your entry is cancelled on or before the 14th August 2021 in writing
    • No Refunds will be made after the 15th August 2021
    • Any donations made, will be donated to the event charity and not refunded.
    • The refund payment will be done within the calendar month after the event. For clarification if the event takes place on 4th September 2021, refunds will be paid by 4th October 2021.

    Cancellation
